「The Outside」は昨年11月にアルバムから4枚目のシングルとしてリリースされており、休暇を取ってからミュージック・ビデオの制作に着手することが伝えられていました。
Andrew Donoho（アンドリュー・ドノホ）が監督を務めたミュージック・ビデオは、ウォータードラゴンのシーンから始まり、とある島の海岸でジョセフが洗い流している様子が映し出されます。3分36秒の曲の長さに対し今作は6分43秒と倍近くの長さを用いた大作となっています。

トゥエンティ・ワン・パイロッツは今月ロシアでのツアー日程をキャンセルすることを発表。夏に英国とヨーロッパに向かい、その後、「THE ICY TOUR 2022」でアメリカに戻る予定です。
