Benの楽曲情報
Ben（ベンのテーマ）は、1972年8月4日に発売された同名タイトルの2ndアルバム「Ben（ベンのテーマ）」に収録されているシングル。
元々は歌手で俳優のDonny Osmond（ダニー・オズモンド）のために書かれた曲でしたが、ツアー中だったためレコーディングできず、Michael Jacksonに提供されることになった曲です。
1972年の映画「ベン」のために書き直され、オーストラリアとアメリカで初の1位を獲得。
ゴールデングローブ賞では主題歌賞を受賞し、アカデミー賞の最優秀オリジナル曲にもノミネートされ、式典でライブ聴衆の前で歌を演奏しました。
