ゴスペルを基調とした力強いサウンドと政治的な歌詞のメッセージ性が強い印象的で、Michael Jacksonの楽曲の中でも非常に人気の高い曲です。
Glen Ballard（グレン・バラード）とSiedah Garrett（サイーダ・ギャレット）によって書かれた曲で、Siedah Garrett（サイーダ・ギャレット）はゴスペルグループThe Winans（ワイナンズ）やThe Andraé Crouch Choir（アンドレ・クラウチ・シンガーズ）と共にバックコーラスとしても参加しています。
