現地時間2月28日、イギリス・マンチェスターのCo-op Liveアリーナで開催されたブリット・アワード2026。英国レコード産業協会（BPI）が2025年の英国および世界の音楽シーンを代表する作品やアーティストを表彰する授賞式で、今回が第46回目となります。例年ロンドンで開催されてきた同賞ですが、今年は初めてマンチェスターでの開催となりました。
今回最多受賞となったのは英国シンガーのオリヴィア・ディーン。5部門にノミネートされ、最優秀アーティスト賞、最優秀アルバム賞、最優秀楽曲賞、最優秀ポップ・アクトの4部門を制覇し、今年のブリット・アワードを象徴する存在となりました。アルバム『The Art of Loving』は年間を通して高い評価を受け、世代を超えた支持を集めた作品として評価されています。

最優秀楽曲賞には、サム・フェンダーとの共演曲「Rein Me In」が選出され、両者がステージに登壇。サム・フェンダー自身も最優秀オルタナティブ／ロック・アクトを受賞し、複数受賞を果たしました。
英国勢では、ローラ・ヤングが最優秀新人賞（ブレイクスルー・アーティスト）を受賞し、キャリア初のブリット受賞を達成。また、ウルフ・アリスが最優秀グループ賞を獲得し、英国ロックシーンの存在感を改めて示しました。
インターナショナル部門では、スペインのポップスター、ロザリアが最優秀インターナショナル・アーティスト賞を受賞。さらに最優秀インターナショナル楽曲賞には、BLACKPINKのロゼとブルーノ・マーズによる「APT.」が選ばれ、K-POPアーティストとして初のブリット・アワード受賞という歴史的快挙となりました。

特別賞では、長年英国音楽界に多大な影響を与えてきたノエル・ギャラガーが最優秀ソングライター賞を受賞。さらにプロデューサー・オブ・ザ・イヤーにはピンクパンサレスが選ばれ、女性として初の受賞者となりました。

また、音楽界への長年の功績を称えるアウトスタンディング・コントリビューション・トゥ・ミュージック賞はマーク・ロンソンに贈られ、デュア・リパらを迎えたスペシャル・パフォーマンスが披露されました。さらに、前年に逝去したロック界の伝説オジー・オズボーンには生涯功労賞が追贈され、ロビー・ウィリアムズらによるトリビュート・パフォーマンスが式典のフィナーレを飾りました。
式典はジャック・ホワイトホールが司会を務め、ハリー・スタイルズが新曲「Aperture」を世界初披露しオープニングを飾るなど、世代とジャンルを横断するパフォーマンスが続々と登場。今年のブリット・アワードは、英国ポップの新世代の台頭とともに、グローバル音楽シーンの多様化を象徴する一夜となりました。
