レコーディングアカデミーが第65回グラミー賞の86のカテゴリーでノミネートされた作品を発表しました。2021年10月1日から2022年9月30日までの有資格年の最高の録音、作曲、アーティストに表彰されるグラミー賞。2023年の式典では、アカデミーはさまざまなカテゴリと資格規則に関するいくつかの変更を発表しました。
第65回グラミー賞ノミネート作品の注目ポイント
第65回グラミー賞からの変更
今回より、最優秀オルタナティブ・ミュージック・パフォーマンス賞、最優秀アメリカン・パフォーマンス賞、最優秀スコア・サウンドトラック賞（ビデオ・ゲームおよびその他のインタラクティブ・メディア）、最優秀スポークン・ワード・ポエトリー・アルバム賞、最優秀ソングライター賞（非クラシック）の5つのカテゴリが追加されました。
またベスト・ソング・フォー・ソーシャル・チェンジに選ばれた曲には特別功労賞が与えられることも発表。この賞はブルーリボン委員会によって決定され、「タイムリーな社会問題に対処し、理解、平和構築、共感を促進する叙情的な内容を含む」曲に報いる予定です。
その他、最優秀オペラ・レコーディング賞と最優秀クラシック・コンペンディウム賞のカテゴリーでは、作曲家と台本作家が賞の対象となりました。
最優秀ニュー・エイジ・アルバム賞は、最優秀ニュー・エイジ（アンビエント、またはチャント）アルバム賞に、最優秀スポークン・ワード・アルバム賞は、最優秀オーディオブック、ナレーション、ストーリーテリング録音賞に改名。スポークン・ワード・ポエトリーはこの賞の対象ではなくなり、現在は最優秀スポークン・ワード・ポエトリー・アルバム賞で認められています。
また、最優秀ミュージカル・シアター・アルバムの場合、新録音のスコアの50％以上の作曲家と作詞家がこの賞の対象となりました。
その他のルールとしては、審査の対象となるために、アルバムに新たに録音された音楽の再生時間が50％以上から75％以上に改正。このルールは、最優秀コンピレーション・サウンドトラック賞、最優秀ヒストリカル・アルバム賞、最優秀イマーシブ ・オーディオ・アルバム賞、最優秀レコーディング・パッケージ賞、最優秀スペシャル・パッケージ、および最優秀アルバム・ノートのカテゴリには適用されなくなります。またクラシック音楽分野の3つのカテゴリ（最優秀プロデューサー賞クラシック部門、最優秀アルバム技術賞クラシック部門、クラシック現代作品部門）のノミネートは、専門のクラフト委員会によって決定されます。
最多はビヨンセの9部門、5組が主要3部門にノミネート
最多ノミネートとなったのはBeyoncé（ビヨンセ）で9部門。ビヨンセは夫のJay-Z（ジェイ・Ｚ）と並んで歴代ノミネート数トップに躍り出ました。
続いてKendrick Lamar（ケンドリック・ラマー）が8部門、Adele（アデル）、Brandi Carlile（ブランディ・カーライル）が7部門で続きます。
主要3部門全てにノミネートしてるのはビヨンセ、ケンドリック・ラマー、アデル、Harry Styles（ハリー・スタイルズ）、Lizzo（リゾ）の5組。最優秀新人賞ノミネート対象者が主要3部門にノミネートされていないのは2017年、第59回グラミー賞以来となりました。
