Taylor Swift（テイラー・スウィフト）が、「All Too Well: The Short Film」でビデオ・オブ・ザ・イヤー賞を受賞。受賞スピーチを行ったテイラー・スウィフトは10月21日に新作アルバム『Midnights』をリリースすることを発表。インスタグラムも投稿し、「私たちは愛と恐怖、混乱と涙の中で目を覚ましています。私たちは壁を見つめ、彼らが言い返すまで飲みます。私たちは自分で作った檻の中でひねり、今この瞬間に人生を左右するような運命的な過ちを犯さないように祈ります。」とコメント。
全13曲が収録される『Midnights』はスタジオ・アルバムとしては『Evermore』以来1年10カ月ぶりとなる新作。彼女はこのアルバムを「生涯に散りばめられた13の眠れぬ夜の物語」と表現しています。

Eminem（エミネム）とSnoop Dogg（スヌープ・ドッグ）がコラボ曲「From The D 2 The LBC」をパフォーマンス。ミュージック・ビデオとリンクした内容となっており、黒皮のソファーに座る2人からYuga Labsが開発したメタバース空間「Otherside」の世界へシフトし、ハイになった2人はそれぞれを模したBored Apeに変身していく映像が含まれています。
