11月20日（現地時間）にLAのマイクロソフト・シアターで開催された「アメリカン・ミュージック・アワード2022（以下、AMA）」。
第50回となる今年は俳優のWayne Brady （ウェイン・ブレイディ）が司会を務め、ABCで生放送されました。

今年のトピックはなんといっても、Taylor Swift（テイラー・スウィフト）。
アーティスト・オブ・ザ・イヤーを含む6つのノミネートすべてで受賞し、これまでの受賞回数を40に更新。AMA史上最も多くの賞を受賞したアーティストとしての記録が更新されました。

受賞コメントでテイラーは「再録音されたアルバムが私にとってどれほど意味があるかは言えませんが、それらがみんなにとって何か意味があるとは予想も想定もしていませんでした」と述べており、再録音された「テイラーズ・バージョン」の成功に感謝を述べています。
6つのトロフィーを抱えるテイラーの表情は喜びと満足に満ち溢れているようです。
テイラー・スウィフトは今回のファッションにも注目が集まっており、『Speak Now』をリリースしたころのヘアスタイルにザ・ブロンズのゴールドスタッズ付きディスコ風のプランジジャンプスーツを選んだことも過去と現在における意味合いを持ちそうです。

ニュー・アーティスト・オブ・ザ・イヤーは今年「Boyfriend」が大ヒットしたDove Cameron（ダヴ・キャメロン）が受賞。
受賞コメントでは本当に驚いた様子のダヴ・キャメロンでしたが、「私がこれまでに受賞したすべての賞は、常に何よりもまず、クィアコミュニティ全体に捧げられるということから始めたいと思います。」と述べ、米コロラド州コロラドスプリングズのLGBTQナイトクラブ「クラブQ」で起きた悲劇的な銃撃事件を受けて、この勝利をクィアコミュニティに捧げました。
AMAのインスタグラムでは最高の笑顔が印象的な写真が投稿されています。
フェイバリット・ロック・アーティストはトゲトゲ衣装のマシン・ガン・ケリー
フェイバリット・ロック・アーティストはMachine Gun Kelly（マシン・ガン・ケリー）が受賞。気になるトゲトゲ衣装はおしっこをするのが本当に不快と述べて会場を沸かせ、さらに192cmの長身の彼にとって非常に低いマイクスタンドに対して「次はもっと大きなマイクスタンドをお願いしたいです。」とも述べました。発言中、トゲトゲがカラカラとぶつかり合う音も見ていてつい面白くなってしまいます。
今やラッパーからロックスターに転向したとも言われるマシン・ガン・ケリーですが、本人からすればラッパーであり、ロックスターでもあるという認識。このジャンル問題について本人は「月」に例えてコメント。「不快といえば、ロック・コミュニティに私を観光客と呼ぶ人が何人かいますが、彼らは間違っています。私はロケットマンです。私たちは月で生まれたわけではありませんが、月を見て興味を持ち、そこに行ったと思われます。この最後の2枚のロック・アルバムは私が月に行ったものですが、宇宙の探索はまだ終わっていません。」とロックジャンルでのアルバムの用意をほのめかすコメントを残しました。
